PAUL SLATER
Paul
Slater is one of Britain's most popular and highly regarded
artist/ illustrators.
Over
a 22-year career Paul's list of clients is extensive and
impressive. Corporations such as General Motors, Shell,
British Airways, Volkswagen, Campbell Soup, Rolls Royce,
Volvo, Colgate and Cutty Sark have used his images in
their advertisements. He has also produced work for musicians/
groups such as OMD, Madness and Richard Thompson.
After
graduating with his Masters Degree from The
Royal College of Art, his artwork began appearing
on the covers and inside numerous books and magazines
all over the U.K. For the past twelve years his work has
been seen every weekend in the Eating Out
column of The Times newspaper in London.

His
work for television includes the British satirical program,
"Spitting Image" and "Around Westminster"
for Channel 4. He also worked on Nicholas Roeg's 1988
film adaptation of Roald Dahl's "The Witches".
His
awards include the 1997 and 2001 WH Smith Editorial Art
Award and The Association of Illustrators "Artist
of the Year" in 1996. In 2001 he was also awarded
the Glynfiddich
Food & Drink Award for his work in The Times.
Pauls
work is collected throughout the world and he has had
several one-man gallery exhibits in the U.K. and the U.S.A.
In 2002, he had his first painting accepted to the Royal
Academy of Art summer show.
When
not hard at work, Paul retreats to his manor in the fictitious
English county of Buckchestershire, where he edits "Ferret Fancy" magazine and goes to Pub Quizes.
